My 22nd Birthday

Ok, I better write this down before I forget and spoil the whole post. >.<

My birthday past 2 weeks back. But celebration was all around the date that I almost couldn’t pinpoint my exact birthdate. xD

Two days before:

 I was suppose to start my degree theses. (Degree? Yes, it’s an extended thing from my current course.) So I was planning to meet my mentor in the morning but I postponed it just for San Francisco Coffee’s breakfast. <.<>.> Went with mom. It was a good morning. ^^ xD

One day before:

I went out with mom early in the morning. Went to the temple and fed some fishes. Whee~ xD Then, it was KARAOKE time!! xD But too bad my mom was having a sorethroat so she couldn’t really sing. >.<

Then met up with Owen. Had dinner and watched movie, “Knight and Day”. A simple movie really but nice. The feeling was like...sitting at home on the couch relaxing while watching a movie. ^^ (At home cannot la since no couch in front of the tv. xD Only got dining table and food. Otherwise it’ll be a bed in front of the computer. xD)

ACTUAL DAY:

Hehe I “pre-ordered” home made lunch. xD From Yin Khuan. Her home-cooked-spaghetti. Yums! Went to get June and headed over to lunch. Lotsa hotdogs! Awww~ xD It was rather quiet since there was only 4 of us. Me, June, Yin Khuan and Yin Yi. So after lunch, we had a frenzy over board games. LOADS of them. xD Battleship (love it! =p =p ), Cluedo (watch YY keep accusing herself. And she’s RIGHT about it! xD xD) and Congkak (boring after awhile unless you watch your opponent get pressurized. xD Sorry, YK.). Hey, it’s healthier than Mahjong. xD

For dinner, I had it at Tony Romas with dad. The food ain’t worth the wait. >.< I only ate appetizers for dinner and I couldn’t finish!! X.x Oddly, they were expensive nuggets that tasted like Honey Spare Ribs. Oo

Two days after:

Family took me out for dim sum dinner where the menu had to be checked by ourselves personally (mom and aunt had bad prior experience. xD). Got a few free tong sui from the restaurant’s boss and we acted as food tasters too, if not menu corrector (is there such a word?). xD

More days after:

Well...it’s only happening next week. So I’ll leave it ‘til then. xD

Gifts:

Apart from the CASH~~ Hahaha Below are the few items I got. =)

A costume jewellery from my sister. This picture is large to emphasize her fat bird. xD
(Note: The stuff from Trinxx is really neat. They are all hand-made by my sister's friend. =) )

A nice pair of flower earrings from Owen.

A funny cup from Ainul.
Ah yes..I had a blast of wishes on Facebook too but there were just too many to state who and how many. xD Thanks everyone!! ^^

Summaries Summaries Summaries

Very sorry for the long absence and even more for dropping my birthday updates. I just decided that I'd delayed too long to make it...relevant anymore? Haha Besides, updating the pictures were a hassle. *coughexcusescough* ^^

Just a summary though, I got quite a number of hugs!! Yay!! Thank you all huggers. xD Apart from that, I got some nice gifts too. ^^ Some most wanted books, $, neat sets of perfumes (now I don't need to get any for the rest of my life. It might just turn into a hand-me-down item seeing that I never use perfume. xD), and so on....oh yes, must mention...waterproof Uno cards!!! >D *hiss* preciousss.... >p

Hm...actually, my memory is very foggy now. But I do remember dad taking me for karaoke with the other family members at Redbox. @@ And of course, an international call from Australia. You know who you are. xD Hm...a great crazy surprise celebration from mom and friends. That was really crazy. xD I laughed so hard that I literally hurt myself (got few bruises on knees from falling onto the floor laughing). Last was a late celebration from Akumas. An interesting steamboat dinner with great catchup time. ;) (Psst..if I leave anyone out, I'm sorry. But I really need to take time to recall. >.<>

Next, besides my birthday, I'd enjoyed several outings with most loved people. A trip down south to Melaka was one of them. Hm...it was rather challenging actually which probably resulted in me recovering from weariness for a couple of days. Just recently was another karaoke session with the girls. Should have videoed us dancing to Bollywood songs. xD xD Hilarious!!

*smiles* I just noticed...though apart from my constant thoughts, I am quite content at this moment. It feels so relaxing....and I should probably thank a gay man for it. xD *cough* You didn't read that. *grins, runs along humming~*

21st B'day : Wishes

It's the beginning of the week...just few more days and by Friday, it'll be it. Yet I sitting here with no plans made just yet for the big day. Oddly I don't seem very bothered (probably I'm just too tired from working spree). But I'm gonna be thick skinned and list some things I want. =p (Hey, it's my 21st. So I get to ask for specifics no? xp) Kekekekeke

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What I really want:~
A simple hug from everyone.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

*cough* I have a feeling it might shock many. But I'm just being honest. =) Besides, it's priceless to me and costless to you. ;) It's a win-win situation! >D And I'll try and keep count of how many I got. =D ^^ (psst...other gifts are a bonus. ;p)

21st B-day: [Chinese B-day] ~ Temple Hop Hop (Part 1)

[Note: This post pops up as an earlier post as I was typing this out in June actually. But I posted a later entry first. So yeah... >.<]

So now I start a collection of blog entries all about my birthday. How vain~ xD

My first celebration was a month ago actually. On 12th June 2009. Nah, I wasn't being desperate by fast forwarding my celebrations but merely utilizing more time. xp Besides, it was really my birthday, based on the Chinese calendar of course. (Note: To those who do not know how a Chinese calendar works, the months normally come earlier than the English calendar...actually...I do not know how it works either. Sai hei.. xD) Kekekekeke. =p

So...my Chinese birthday celebration was celebrated with my mom and a friend, Grace. =) We went temple hopping. Whee~!! ^^ By the way, there's lots of pictures. So the post would be split into two entries... *grumbles* What a hassle to rearrange so many pictures. xp

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Plans were made a week before though the idea popped up....probably months ago or even years? Hahahah. Woke early in the morning that Friday and got ready, feeling rather enthusiastic although slightly sleepy (it's normal xp). Mom came over and picked me up, then we headed to the market to do last minute shopping. <.<>.> =p Bought lots of prayer stuff and headed to our first destination. =D
Wat Chetawan!!
It was a rather large area but very peaceful. =) So we did our prayers and took some pictures as you can see below. I don't have a picture of Grace 'coz she's shy. ^^' Oh yeah, there's hardly any pictures of gods or goddesses in my entries 'coz...it just seems so hard to load them in. @@
Pics: (Top) Me and mom taking pic with a granite? elephant.
Mom accidentally blocked the elephant. >.< (Second row, left) Main hall. A father and son doing their prayers. =) (Right) A smaller hall housing statues of wise men and gods. (Bottom) There are many small birdys around. This is one of them perched on the fan blade in the smaller hall. So fat~ x3
Before heading off to our second location, we dropped by at this temple, Kuil Sri Sithi Vinayagar, beside SRK SJS (I think I got the school name right. Oo) at Old Town to buy some flowers. =)
Look closer at the structure. There are lots of nicely carved figures there. Real neat works. =D Next, we paid a visit to my god-father's place. Did a quick prayer there and got lots of oranges to feed fishes (see pic at Bukit Jalil Park). Hahahah!!
Further at Old Town, we spent a little time for breakfast (yeah, we were running around with an empty stomach @@) before heading next door to the pet shop and bought lots of fish food, bird seed, birds and a couple of tortoises. Hm...did I leave anything out? Don't think so.
Off to Taman Bukit Jalil with birds chirping in newspaper bags and tortoises crawling around in another bag at the back seat with Grace.
At the lovely park, we went to the side of a pond and I let out the tortoises for them to live FREE~~ Whee~!! xD The tortoises are polite. They seem to know that you're letting them go so they pop out of the water and STARE at you awhile. (I hope they aren't feeling otherwise. xp)
Next goes the birds. Should have seen them fly. It was a nice feeling but you won't want to know what's left in the bag...shyt. Hahahahahah!! Last thing to do there was to feed the fishes. I forgot how many bags of fish food we bought but it was definitely not enough for all. T.T Poor fishies... A minor part of the park was under construction too (one bridge), so it was difficult to feed the rest. =/ Oh well...
Grace had to leave for work so we dropped her back at Wat Chetawan to get her car before continuing our journey. Up next was Thean Hou Temple at Robson Hill. I took many pictures here but there were just too many to put up. So I'm only presenting some nicer ones. ;p
Basically this is a tourist attraction..really (I was playing tourist too. xp). So the place is really huge and well developed if not well kept. Hahahah The outside was rather disappointing actually or probably it was just too wide a space that makes it look really empty. But the interiors were ok not to mention the roof structures. =p Let the pictures tell you. Hahaha (Psst...sorry, the picture order may look messy.. >.<)
Pics: (Top, left) Me standing out in the open near the entrance.
(Right)
Mom posing at bottom of stairs near the tortoise pond.
(Bottom) Some pictures of roof structure. =D
Oh...this one is a horror. Zoom in on the picture above if possible and try counting the number of tortoises at the pond. I won't bother with the counting actually. Hahahaha Me and mom didn't want to go anywhere nearer to the pond. It stinks and it's overcrowded. >.<'ll Next are some pretty nature pictures to help you soothe your appetite after that ONE picture. xD
Pics: (Top, Left) A wonderful lotus bud we found at a corner of the temple. =3
(Right) Pretty flowers.
(Second row, Left) A mini fountain that looks almost like a drain. *cough* But it's still nice.
(Right) More nice lotus buds. (Bottom) A beautiful and rare white lotus. x3
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
[Gah!! Blogger's been messing up my pictures so there are many missing. Sorry . =( ]

Stay tuned for Part 2.

Earth Hour + Sou's Belated Birthday Celebration!

*switch off lights* Argh!! I can't see what I'm typing!! *typed gibberish, erases and retype much later* @@ *stretches and starts to think of what to type* Zzzzz....

Once upon a time, in a nice polluted blue green planet...actually, I just drove to Bernice's house, picked her up and headed down to Capsquare. HAHAHAH!! It's a fairly new place. I can estimate 99.5% of Malaysia's population have no idea about the place. (Note: Estimations are based on personal judgements. Please don't trust it. It is 200% inaccurate) Eh..the bazaar wasn't huge and there weren't many people around, though I think it would be rather packed at night during Earth Hour.

Before strolling at the bazaar, we paid a visit to Bernice's dad's work place. A splendid clinic with an amazingly good looking door for the JANITOR's room!! *shock* A neat place really but I don't think I'll go there. Looks too expensive. Hahaha. At the bazaar, met Suan (from Kendo) at the WWF booth. Seriously, those t-shirts were cute. If only they weren't expensive. >.< *recalls Panda t-shirt, sighs* T.T The shawl in another booth was pretty too but it was RM100 after discount. Uuuuu... T.T

Within the main building, there was like...an art exhibition? Lotsa interestingly creative pieces but unfortunately, for someone like me who doesn't know how to appreciate certain arts, I felt bored. Don't sue me. >.< The food at Betty's was good though I find it amusing that the first thing that catches my sight on my plate are the mushrooms and not the prawns since my meal was 'Spicy PRAWN Olio'. Hahahahah!

We left after that. Dropped Bernice back home and me off for my next appointment (waiseh..sound like so busy. xD). Picked up WW (yeah, I sound like some pick-up truck. Hahah =p) and headed to Sunway Pyramid. There we (satu gang la. Not only me and WW, not so romantic lor. xD) celebrated Sou's belated birthday (the fonts are green 'coz the theme we had was green) and Earth Hour~! xD

We were walking aimlessly although me, WW and June were really trying to plan about the birthday cake for Sou. So there were many times where we looked seriously sneaky, not to mention June's SPECIAL water (Just another mineral water bottle with a rare brand name). xD Then Alin got caught into our plans too. Later we got seperated. Me, Alin and WW went cake hunting and finally it was decided, we bought...J.Co doughtnuts as a substitute. *grins* Those sweet 'lil things.. ;p

Met up with the rest at 'Forever 21' where we made Sou try on whatever we picked out for her. Unfortunately, she wouldn't let us see her in the piece June picked. xD But June ended up trying that piece herself. Looks...wow... @@ To be honest, not good.. xD Too old for the food-loving child. ;) We spent time there until dinner time. Dinner was served~ at Gasoline. A restaurant with an interesting concept which I don't really fancy unfortunately, though the food was ok. Hey, I don't like dark places. xp And yes, I'm picky. >.>

Earth Hour...we didn't see the starting of the ceremony but some of us got some 'glow-in-the-dark' lights and joined the crowd for a bit. Not too long after, some left to go home and some left to go arcade (including me xp). Hhahahaa! So supportive. Aihs.. But but...me and WW were really itching to release some stress. So.. heheheh.. *excuse excuse cough* <.<>.>

On an overall...I think it's a good start. You rarely have events that would rally global unity. =) Well done!

Random Mix of Events

Ugh... Sorry for the lack of updates. My mind is currently not functioning very well (very blur..I even forgot I talked to Lynn on MSN just awhile ago. @@) and my body is currently under repair (not the drastic sort la), thanks to a vigorous weekend Kendo camp I attended last week. Now one of my hand is blistered badly while the other arm is bruised badly around the wrist. Other parts of the body, aching..but not so bad now. x.x

Ok...let's see... I'd not updated anything since I had my so-called-holidays. *flips diary and see what I'd missed* Oh right.... My ACCA results. = = Well..I'm happy with them although they were just marginal passes and fail. Yup, you read it right. A fail. Just one paper, taxation. I'm not to worried about it though. Just gotta do a little more and resit. *nod nod*

What else... I'd been working a lot. That includes my audit work which went all the way down to Melaka. I boycott KFC!! >O Everytime I go outstation for audit work SURE eat KFC. Grrr!!! So sien.. = = That piece of chicken...I even had to return it to the counter for a better one since they gave me a wounded chicken piece. Grrr!!! I'm not going to eat KFC unless I have no choice. = = (Note: McD is ok though. It has not offended me in anyhow until now. In fact, I think I offended it more..I accidentally spilled all the coke down their staircase. <.<>.>)

Hm..I worked part-time the other day at Prince Hotel for some ABRSM seminar for teachers. (ABRSM for those who do not know it, is an examination board for music) Was selling books, packing goods and collecting MONEY~!! Ngehehehehehe~~!! >) Operating the money register was fun!! =D =3 (I use to have a toy money register as a kid where the coins were huge and cute. =D Maybe that's why I'm pursuing my current field of study. =p) The lady boss seems to love mooncake. Oo Everywhere we go also got mooncake. Geng.. @@'ll

Me and the other staff stayed overnight...not in Prince Hotel though (we all wished)...but in some nearby budget hotel (I don't remember the name but it sounded...unique??). I shared the room with 3 other girls. It was suppose to be 2 only but the last one just had to bump in. = = So another had no choice but to sleep on the extra bed (lucky her), while the remaining share the bigger bed (no, we don't get to move about after laying down). But before that...let me relate to you about a bathroom story:

Hotel bathrooms have these shower curtains, right? Where do you put it? Outside or inside of the bathtub? Inside, logically. But the 'bump in' girl placed it outside and came out, telling me that the shower curtain cannot be used. I stared in...nothing seems to be wrong with the curtain...so what's wrong that made the WHOLE floor wet? *think think think* Voila!! I got the answer and laughed my head off while the rest stared at me wondering if I'd gone mad. I explained to them and hoping the 'bump in' girl would get the idea and be smart the next time she uses the bath by putting in the shower curtain.

Next morning, we all woke up to hear MUSIC coming from the bathroom. That's not just it... When it was my turn, once again, I found the floor WET. And it's FREEZING COLD!! Sigh.. I give up on her la. *waves white flag* Already that night I couldn't sleep well (it's normal for my first nights in any hotel) thanks to all the noise coming from outside the window. Some nightlife people were walking downstairs laughing like maniacs at 4AM in the morning!! *waves fist* Grrr!!! So the overall stay wasn't really pleasant but I shouldn't complain. =x (Too late for that, *points up* =p) But of course, the next day's work with the cash register was a motivational booster of some sort. xD

Next event... The first time I attended a Malay wedding. Oo Uh...it's rather...interesting that the guests gets to eat before the arrival of the couple. @@'ll That was really shocking. But the reason was because the caterer was worried that he didn't provide enough plates and cutlery for everyone. The next shocking thing was that some people even left after eating and BEFORE the arrival of the happy couple. x.x But maybe they had things to do. Me and my mom had to wait with the other guests for HOURS before the couple came out. = = They sure took REALLY long.

The other thing that got me and my mom worried was our eating manner. Everyone else was using their HANDS!! T.T Of course, we finally got some cutlery. Phew~ =p (Joon Hi, I didn't drink the water from the little kettle on the table. ^^v But I hope the water on the catering table is not the same type of water. @@) When the couple finally decided to pop up, the groom never smiled while walking down the aisle. OO!! I hope he's ok or even happy with his bride. @@'ll May they have a peaceful relationship. >.o

Ok, this post of long enough already. But just to add in the last few stuff. Hm..watched Wall-E. Yeah, I agree it's like watching a COLOURED silent movie. lol =p And tonight...Joon Hi is going back to Ireland. =/ Have a safe trip ya! =D Tomorrow I'm starting classes again.. T.T *walks off wailing about classes*

[Special P.S.: HAPPY BIRTHDAY FIONA!! =D]

My 20th Birthday - In 'Brief' Description

Ok ok. I know it's 5 days past my birthday and I should have posted this maybe few days earlier when the mood was still around but...I was lazy. xp However, since I'm currently sitting at home with my unattended junk lay scattered (or so it seems to me...there aren't much stuff anyway) around the room (excluding my uncle's BIGGER pile of junk) and me...trying to recover from flu and cough, I just decided it's time to type something in here. Haha!

So..how was my birthday? I know it was fun and enjoyable although...I have to search my brain abit. I don't keep memories very well. Ask me what I did yesterday and I'll most likely tell you sincerely, "I dunno." (Psst...maybe that's why I keep a blog) Don't worry, my memory capacity has yet to decrease to fish memory capacity *sings Dory 'Just keep swimming' song* =p

1st celebration (yes, I had many >D) - was with my fellow 'Devils in disguise'. (Mom, I'm not joining the wrong crowd) Well, they are ex-classmates from Assunta. Mainly the Arts stream except for two. =p We had some Korean experience in BBQ Plaza @ Pyramid. (Seriously not a place for people who don't know how to cook) And after that, we loitered. xD Got some sticker photos and stuff. =3 Yeah. That's...so not me. @@ Thanks fellas! ^^

*present photo: weird doll from Julz, Bern and Lynn* Oo' It seriously looks nothing like me, Julia. = = KY, CY, Fi..sorry. I couldn't get a pic of the book you three got me coz..I lend it to Joon Hi liao. xD

2nd celebration - with mom and sis and mom's friend. In a neat Chinese restaurant @ Gardens, Mid Valley. It's called Crystal Jade Restaurant. *nod nod* It's a high class place but for the service and quality of food, it's worth the price. ;) And thank you for the good meal. ^^

*present photo: from mom! Yes! A digi card. Muahahahah!! More credit! Muahahahha!!*

3rd celebration (actual birthday date) - with Joon Hi. In 1Utama. ^^ Watched 'Hancock'. xD Arcade and more loitering. It was fun to see a man's discomfort when you drag them go window shopping. >) (We were trying to waste time while waiting for dinner time =p Me ish evils. Muahahahaha >D) Sorry, sadism runs in the family too. Waakakakaka!! Thank you for the fun. Ngehehehehe. >p
*present photo: from Joon Hi. A plush dolphin of nice quality =p*

4th celebration (I know...it just keeps going doesn't it? =p) - with Assunta 'Science' Stream pplz. xD Now I'm balanced. These fellas gave me their best shot of a surprise party. I guess it worked. Good job pplz! ^^ This celebration felt qute...homey. Since most of the food was 'dapau'ed from their houses, even the cake. xD The drawing they gave me, were drawn by they themselves too. ;p Thanks fellas, for the enjoyable time. =)

*present photos (clockwise, from top left):

Pretty photoframe from YK
Doggy handphone accessory (but too big to be one actually) from WW
Cross-stitched file (abit small though but I like the treble clef =3) and a pair of chopsticks from ZW*
Pretty necklace in a botol from Farlina

5th celebration (maybe last too =p) - with dad (though Joon Hi did tag along). This one is just dinner in Esquire Kitchen @ Mid Valley. Well, it was a quick and easy one although the restaurant's food and service kills the mood. Anyway, thank you for remembering my birthday. =)

So...verdict! *drumroll* My birthday was fun. ^^ Thank you everyone!! *bows, background applause* xD (Note: What is shown in the pics may not be the only things I got for my birthday. ;p I just couldn't fit everything in. xD)

My 20th Birthday - Top Ten List

Let's start with a list of ten people who wished me earliest. =p

0. Aunt (she gets no.0 since she wished me several times even before today. Her reason: 'I'll keep wishing. I'm bound to hit the right date some day. xD'. But..but..I don't wanna gain so many years so fast! I don't look nice saggy! T.T) =p
1. Agnes Khoo - a classmate from my LCCI days. =)
2. Yin Yi - Yin Khuan's sister for some of those who dunno her.
3. Joon Hi (psst...your sms ngam ngam reached me at 12.01AM ;p Nice timing.)
4. Jason Khoo - a fellow cast member from some Disney event I was working at. =)
5. Kar Yee (just 'coz she was going to school early, she sms'ed me at almost 8AM this morning. And I was about to curse the person for sms'ing so early. <.<'>.>' Sorry, KY!!! >.<'ll)
6. Aunt again, but it's official this time. xD
7. Mom, all the way from Bali. xD Expensive lor, the sms. =p
8. Sis with her 'Piak! Piak! Piak! Dush! Dush! Aiyo! Ahmah!' Smackin' Birthday greeting. xD
9. Kitsune!! (ne, maybe you wished me earlier with the cbox but I don't really plan to recount the time to the correct timing just to get your ranking. xD)
10. Farlina! And her PowerPuff greeting. @@ xD

To the rest who couldn't make it to the top ten, it's ok. ^^ At least you wished me on the right date. xD For those who didn't, well..eveyone ages by the second. ;)

Well, I would have posted more but I'm trying to post this before the clock strikes 12AM. >.< =p My dad has yet to celebrate with me anyway. ^^ I'll post more about MY day after that maybe? =3
