Melaka Trip

Ahh..the melancholic tranquility, thanks to the wonderful melodies of my winamp playlist and sound of raindrops outside the window, supported by the dimmed lights of the day. A perfect mood for 'yum cha'. Unfortunately I'm stuck at home (self-ground) 'coz I'm suppose to be studying for next week's test. Yeah..look at what I'm doing now..blogging. xD Sai hei..

Woke quite late today, taking time to recover energy from a day trip yesterday. Went to Melaka with Kar Yee, Jackson, Bibi and Sarah. =) Chooi Yee couldn't join us for personal reasons. =x We just sorta impromptu planned the trip last week and 'Ok! Let's go!'. xD Unfortunately it didn't turn out as expected, probably due to poor planning? T.T

Then again, sleeping over at Kar Yee's place the night before was REALLY REALLY unexpected..I couldn't sleep well. (But the last round I could sleep nicely!! Why?! T.T) Most likely due to the fact that we laughed so hard before sleeping thanks to Sarah's nonsense and irritating hyena-like laugh. (If the neighbours didn't wake, I'm surprised. lol xp) And we were suppose to wake around 7+. (Someone even said 6am oh..but woke only at what time after dunno how many rounds of alarm rings ah? *hint hint*) I slept only around 3-4am. = =

Left the house around 8+. The worse thing...while driving, my stomach was threatening to complain. >.<'ll (KY, that's why I went to the toilet so long at the rest area) Besides that, the drive was like a cruise down south, complimented with nice songs tracks. lol =p Apparently, driving requires concentration so I didn't know how tired I was until KY took over the wheel back to KL. lol

*replays scene*

Get on car...few minutes later..
"Kar Yee, you drive la. I sleep." Zzzzzzzz...
LOL LOL Adoi... =p

The trip on overall was rather uneventful. We visited St Peter's Church, St Francis Xavier's Church (pretty place =) ), Jonker Street (the Chicken Rice Balls were cute xD) and Christ Church (just outside around the fountain and flowers).

At Jonker Street, bought some food stuff here and there. The games they sold there like Uno cards were horribly cheap!!! Not even RM5. I could have bought them and sold them back in KL for a profit. *shock* But they don't have what I want so I didn't get any. Hehehe

Sat on the Eye on Malaysia, Melaka. I was rather amused with their pricing. I read RM20 per adult but they charged us RM8 per person. How do you get to that amount? First..proof you're a student, they'll charge RM16. Second..proof you're Malaysian. You get half price. So half of RM16 = RM8. xD xD xD Adoi.. Same thing with the Menara Taming Sari (you get to see Melaka at dunno how many feet high..sorry, wasn't concentrating to what the lady said. xp). You proof you're Malaysian and they charge you half the price of the original. So RM10/2 = RM5. xD

But the rides were rather boring I think though I was trying hard not to be amused by the girls. (Psst...they're afraid of heights.) So after that, we went off to Port Dickson. Yeah, Kar Yee wanted to see the sunset. Unfortunately the Blue Lagoon was under construction, so we went to another side of the beach...just to find out that....the sun sets on the other side. xD (Actually...come to think of it..it was on the right side..so silly. But by the time the sun sets, their mothers would be calling their handphones already. xD xD)

So we rested a bit and left for dinner nearby at some random shop. Oddly, I find that people there seem rather reluctant to speak Cantonese so I had a whole day of good Mandarin-speaking practise. x.x Oh..should have seen the fried sotong we ordered. It wasn't the normal fried sotong where they use the normal sotongs. They used baby sotongs. They weren't properly cleaned and if I assume correct, those two black dots on each sotong are eyes! Couldn't tell since there was no specific crunchy-ness or anything hard at all. So....*looks away and just pops them into mouth and chew* trick is to not look at the sotongs. LOL

After dinner, we went home. Phew.. lol =p

Quiet time..

This post ain't really much. Just merely stating some random things. =) *Mood: Reflecting*

Many things have happened since the start of the year and the next few days would most likely work like an off day for me. Yeah, a break before things start again..or my edited schedule at least.

Somehow, I suppose it's finally the time to learn the ways of an adult. Say..I'm turning 21 this year anyway. Yup, GLOBALLY LEGAL! xD (No, I'm still staying away as much as I can from alcohol, drugs, smoke, partying, s** and anything else that's deemed illegal or unethical. =='ll Globally legal ain't a license for global illegal activity.)

And so..we're all growing old..*pause*..ok ok, let's say growing WISER (unfortunately not applicable to certain individuals). xp We'll be attending weddings of our generation (my cousin's getting wed next year at the age of 23!!! >.<'ll So early!!!), we'll be aunts and uncles (*shock* I'm not even use to people calling me 'Jhe jhe (Sister)' even. T.T) and we're definitely getting more wrinkles (hey, you can get 'em even with plastic surgery. xp). Well, nothing's permanent definitely. *shrugs* ;) We just have to learn to grow gracefully. *does some ballet dancing pose* Oops..you didn't see that. <.<>.>

The rain lately has helped in setting this mood I suppose. Now I just lack that cup of tea.. *go search*

[Facts: I failed my papers, I'm legally single, and my eyes are being poked by contact lenses.(What? KY ask me to wear. *points all fingers at KY. xp)]

1st 2009 Post : Velantine's Day!!

Yes, it's 2009 and I'd slacked horribly long. Heheh So let's start with a Valentine's Day report. Nothing better than to start anew with love~ ;) Let's see.. My schedule on Valentine's Day was totally pack..so.. *plans report a bit first*

First thing in the morning..

I got up early to attend a progress test in Sunway. Ye
s, an EXAM early on Valentine's Day!! *gnaws table* Grrr... But I left halfway. My second item of the day was far too precious to me as compared to this exam. Hmph.. xp

Special Project!!
^^

For this event, I'd made a special "scientific" repo
rt. Enjoy~! ^^ (Psst..sorry if it's not exactly accurate. It's been years since I did a report like this. >.<) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

To those who didn't get the chocolates, I'm so sorry!! T.T I was budgeting and could only make so many. And two out of so many little packets..the chocolates just had to melt. *wails* Fiona, Jason, I belanja you two yum cha next time k? >.<

Joon Hi, since you're too far for my car to reach and the mail guy wasn't willing to send the gift for me, here's a pic of your gift. You balik baru I pass to you la. xp

Little heat thingies for JH

Gathering @ Seoul Garden (Yin Khuan's farewell party)

Getting to 1 Utama was a horror..the JAM!!! @@ But we got in anyway and I had to change my attire in the restroom. See, Alin and Zie Wei wanted to make the event a little special by implementing a dresscode..*drumroll*..Shirt & Tie!! x.x It was interesting. lol And it was satisfying to see KY's expression when I came out with the attire though I seriously wonder what the other ladies in the restroom felt as well. xD xD =p

So I left KY to have her Valentine's date with Jackson. ;) While I rushed to Seoul Garden. (KY, I agree. I do look like some professional photographer with that attire and video camera. =p) Seoul Garden..hm..wasn't as I expected. I thought it would be something like Shogun except that they serve Korean food. Oh well. xp

Of course, I shall not exclude the couple that sat beside us. Oh yes, it was a horror that I couldn't turn a deaf ear on 'em. It was highly likely that they were on a blind date or something related to all that self-intro talk. But I also believe it would be rather ironic that if I were sitting there doing all that 'intro', I might actually enjoy it at the expense of other people around me. xD Ish ish..

After buffet we proceeded to taking lots of pictures along the corridor and the so-called-garden. Hm..somehow I feel we made the guys feel under dressed. xD I think I even heard someone said 'Pak hei (filming).' xD Yup, the dress code was a good idea. We got people staring at us.

Anyways, hey Kitsune~~ Take care yo!! Don't bully your sister in Australia k? xD *waves* =3

Group pic at 1 Utama!! ^^

Kendo

Yes!! I finally went for Kendo after a loooong~~ while. *clap clap* ^^ I'm surprised that I actually managed to go through the whole of warm up and basic training. @@ Of course, I started slacking at jigeiko. >.<

Well, I should be training regularly again. Mr Yap should be happy to hear that. xD Besides, I need to keep fit. My muscles now all sloppy. >.<

Rest and Relax

The last things of the day: a few more rounds of late delivery and 'yum cha' at SS2. Ah yes~ Relaxing after a long good day. *satisfied sigh* A night with air-cond was good too. Thanks KY for letting me sleepover! xD I memang long time never sleep under air-cond already. lol Macam heaven. xD

And so concludes my Valentine's Day report. ;)

(Note: Sorry if this post looks a 'lil odd coz of the fonts. Blogger ain't being nice. Grr)
